You are Powerful!

I want to remind you today that you are powerful beyond measure! Since children, we have been conditioned not to be TOO powerful... You know, do what you're told, don't act out in school, fall in line, don't be too loud, get your work done on time, etc, etc. Basically, just be a sheep with your head down and you'll "survive" life. Well I don't want to you to just survive life like a sheep until the wolf shows up on your doorstep. I want you to step into your power, make a positive difference in someone else's life and live the fullfilling life that you are destined to live! This poem reminds us that it's ok to be powerful and take a stand for what you believe in: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God (or the universe, or buddha, or whatever you believe in).

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
