Do You Do New Years Resolutions?
I want YOU to DITCH the New Year Resolutions this year once and for all!
Now, I like the whole New Year fresh start in theory, but I also believe in solutions (through out the year) more than trying to change everything in your life all at once. Which is what most people do and 92% of the people who make resolutions stop by the end if January.
It is sad that 3 weeks into a New Year, 92% of people have given up and it is clearly is a problem.
Like I mentioned, I'm all about solutions and that is what I wanted to talk about from a commitment standpoint.
You need to make room for 3 things to get yourself in true commit mode...
1. Time:
You have to make the time for the thing you want to commit to. If it is not on your schedule and your priority list, you are not committed to it, period. You will need to declutter, delete and delegate things in your life to fit it in.
2. Energy
You have to put energy into it. You have to have energy AND you have to be willing to put energy into it. You need to take care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to have the energy to go the extra mile and have the stamina to do it. You also need to be clear on what you want, so that you can make decisions quickly (reserves energy) and make all your choices based on the thing you want to be committed to. You need to know what to say yes to and what to say no to. Without it, you will resort to your "feelings" and if you don't have good energy we all know what the feelings will look like (wine and chocolate anyone??)
3. Resources
People don't always know it, but most of the time we use not having the resources as the reason we haven't done anything yet or completely committed to the thing you want. Resources are EVERYWHERE! Just ask a few people any question and find a resource like that. There is something internally holding you back as resources are totally needed to complete the equation of commitment, but it can be solved easier than people make it out to be. It is likely you'll have to invest in resources, but that is how you get where you want to go and be! Everything in life comes with a price, just like these three things you need. You are dedicating your time, energy and finding the resources to complete the loop to make things happen.
Time + Energy + Resources = Committed & Success!
Now ask yourself these questions:
1. Am I completely committed?
2. Do I/will I make the time and make my commitments a priority in my daily actions?
3. Am I clear and know when to say either yes or no to anything that comes my way?
4. Am I clear on what I am striving for?
5. Am I committed to caring for my physical health?
6. Am I committed to caring for my emotional health?
7. Am I committed to caring for my mental health?
8. Am I committed to caring for my spiritual health?
9. Am I making decisions based off my "feelings?" vs objective data?
10. Am I willing to invest in finding the resources and paying for them to get ahead?
Are you willing to pay the price in all 3 of these: Time, Energy and Resources?
Think about what you want to be committed to. Then go through these questions and see if you are willing to invest in all 3 to fully commit to whatever it is your want to achieve.
If you are ready to commit to better health, longevity, better energy and sleep, more energy, fitting into your clothes better, being able to wear anything in your closet confidently, able to have a social life and still feel you best then DITCH the New Years Resolution and commit to 12 weeks starting Nov 18th for New Years In November.
